Terms of Attendance

Thank you for your interest in the Osaka Furry Fun Festa (hereinafter referred to as “OFFF”).
Following the policies below ensures that you and the people around you have a safe and enjoyable convention experience, and allows the event runs smoothly.
We ask all attendees to understand the policies and be cooperative in order to run the event smoothly.


Regarding accommodation handling

If you need to stay overnight during OFFF2024, please make your hotel reservations in Osaka on your own.

General Policies

Please comply with these rules and follow the instructions of staff members while in the venue.
If you do not follow these rules or the instructions of the staff, you may be asked to leave the venue immediately or be barred from future participation in the event.
Attendee badges shall be worn in a position where staff and volunteers can easily see it while you are at the event site, and shall be presented to any staff or volunteers upon request. (Attendee badges shall be carried or worn also while you are fursuiting.)
Without presentation of attendee badge, attendees will not be allowed to enter the Main Hall or changing rooms.
If you lose your attendee badge, please contact our staff promptly.
Although Kansai Kemoket will be held on the same day at the same venue, you may NOT enter Kansai Kemoket by using the attendance badge of OFFF.
You must not go out wearing a fursuit from the event area.
The ATC facility is NOT OFFF exclusive during the event, and there will also be general visitors. Please refrain from activities that may disturb other visitors.
Sales of merchandise may only be conducted by persons with permission.
The following acts and behaviors are prohibited in the venue; lewd or overly suggestive display, overly brutal or offensive expression, overly political display, and other offensive expressions against public order and morals.
To avoid trouble, the following costumes and clothing are prohibited, such as; lewd or overly suggestive display, overly brutal or offensive expression, overly political display, and other offensive expression against public order and morals. Those who wear these clothings may be expelled from the venue.
Do not handle the equipments of the venue in an inappropriate way or manner. (You will be required to pay for any damage caused by use for unintended purposes or rough handling.)
All attendees should follow instructions from ATC employees, security guards, OFFF staff and volunteers promptly. If you do not follow instructions, you may get expelled from the venue.
In case of fire, earthquake, or other emergency, please follow the instructions and guidance of ATC employees or security guards.
Musical instruments may only be played in designated areas. If the volume is too loud, we may ask you to refrain from playing.
We ask for your cooperation in keeping the event enjoyable and free from problems among attendees in physically, mentally and financially. If a problem occurs, please resolve it between the parties involved. In case of emergency or if it is difficult to solve the problem between the attendees, please ask for help from the nearby staff as soon as possible. (Please note that the staff will only cooperate in discussions to resolve the problem and will not provide reimbursement or guarantees.)
In addition to the above, please be sure to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

Fursuiting

During the event, there will be not only people who enjoy wearing costumes, but a variety of visitors, including people who do not like fursuits and the general visitors . Please respect each person’s opinion and be careful not to cause discomfort to each other.
Everyone who wishes to use the changing rooms in site must select “with fursuit” at the pre-registration.

For non-fursuites

Many of the Fursuits participating in OFFF are characters that their owners love and care for like their own children, and are one-of-a-kind and cannot be replaced. When interacting with fursuit characters, please be considerate of this fact and be gentle with them.
Some owners do not want to be touched or photographed. Please make sure to confirm with the owner before hugging or taking pictures.If they refuse, please do not force them to do so.
Please read not only the general policies and cautions, but also the code of conduct for fursuiters.

For fursuites

Only 1 fursuit per person is allowed.
Please be sure to use the changing rooms at the venue when fursuiting. Changing outside of the venue is prohibited, such as in one’s own car or in the restrooms of the ATC commercial facilities.
Fursuiting in the ATC commercial building, offices, and ferry terminal is prohibited.
Only those who chose “With fursuit” at the time of registration will be allowed to enter the changing rooms.
An attendee badge is required to enter and exit the changing rooms. Please be sure to wear it all times in a position where it can be seen, including when fursuiting.
Fursuiting is only allowed in the main halls (《Day 1》, Hall A, Hall C), (《Day 2》 Hall C) and the lobby. You may NOT walk into the ATC commercial buildings with fursuits on.
Please be sure to share the changing room space with other visitors. If you leave your bags spread out on the floor, the staff may organize them and move them to a different location.
Lewd or overly suggesive costumes or any inappropriate attire may be prohibited to wear. Please take into consideration that some participants may be minors.
Please take care your own physical condition and wear your fursuit within a strain-free range.
If you are not feeling well, take off your fursuit off.
If you are wearing a fursuit for the first time, please make sure to be accompanied by an attendant and do not wear it for a long period of time.
Do NOT sleep on the floor or any other behavior that could be mistaken for physical illness. If a staff member or first-aider judges that a person wearing a fursuit in danger (e.g., if the person is disoriented, unresponsive to external responses, etc.), they may take your fursuit off forcibly and may cut costumes while removing them.
The general visitors will not see the difference between the fursuits in the event and the character mascots of theme parks and festivals. It is expected that visitors will ask for various favors (photo-taking, hugs, etc.). Please respond to their expectations as much as possible.
Please be prepared to consider ways to communicate while wearing a fursuit (e.g., having an attendant, talking, making noises, holding a placard, etc.)
If you experience any problems (being roughed up, breaking something, etc.) due to miscommunication while wearing a fursuit, please contact our staff as soon as possible.
Please be aware that you are in a “special condition” while wearing your fursuit, and please be considerate of your own safety.
Please also read the code of conduct for non-fursuiters.

Personal belongings

Please take care of your own belongings and valuables, OFFF management will not be responsible for any theft or damage.
Do not leave your bags, luggage, etc. unattended.
Please do not touch other persons’ belongings, equipments, fursuits, or costumes without the owner’s permission.
If you find anything suspicious in the venue, please do not touch it and inform a staff member.
Please dispose of garbage in designated garbage bins. Littering is prohibited.
Prohibited items
Food and alcoholic beverages (soft drinks, tea, etc. may be brought in only in plastic bottle containers that can be covered with a lid)
Dangerous items, knives, firearms, stoves, dead bodies, filthy items, items that emit odors, items that may harm other participants, items that may damage the venue, and items that are imitations of these items (model guns and imitation swords, etc.).
Animals (except service animals), small animals, insects, fish and shellfish
Other items that violate laws

Photos and Videos

Photography and Recording are not allowed in the changing rooms, headless rooms, and dealer booth areas.
However, dealers are allowed to film only when filming their own booths.
Live video streaming via the Internet (youtube, twitcasting, etc.) by attendees at the venue is prohibited.
OFFF will not be responsible for any loss or trouble caused by the publication of photos and videos by the attendees. Please resolve the matter between the parties concerned.
Photography by official staff at the dealers’ booths will only be conducted with prior permission from each dealer.
Photos and videos taken by the official staff may be used as documents or announcements in the future. Photos taken by attendees may also be used for the above purposes. In such cases, OFFF will contact the photographer to request permission.
This event may be covered by newspapers, TV, radio, magazines town magazines, internet media sites, etc.

Artist booth

Do Not take pens or art supplies from the artist’s booth out of the booth.
Do NOT draw illustrations or texts that are extremely offensive to public order and morals. If OFFF judges that your work is not in accordance with the purpose of the event, it will be removed and discarded.

Dealer’s booth

When the booth is busy, please wait in two lines. Follow the instructions of the dealer or the staff.
If you are asked to verify your age by the dealer or the staff, please present a document that can verify your age as soon as possible.
Please ask the dealer’s permission before viewing samples of their work.
Please do not place any objects or money on top of the merchandise.
Please be prepared with change so that the dealer does not have to make change for you. When using large bills, make sure that change is available before making a purchase.
Do NOT gather in front of the booth for long time.

Harrasment

There will be a wide variety of visitors on the day of the event. OFFF does not tolerate harassment of any kind (sexual, regional, physical, etc.).
Examples of harassment
Forcing sexual conversations. Excluding someone from the group for not accepting sexual jokes.
Sexual harassment (between men and women of the opposite sex and the same sex)

【Gender Harassment】 Discriminatory or stereotypical remarks about gender, such as “You look homosexual” or “Could a women say such things?”.

【Racial Harassment】Discriminatory remarks and stereotypical comments such as “People from this country lie easily”

【Photo Harassment】Taking a picture and uploading it to a social networking service without permission from the person in the photo.
【Customer Harassment】Badgering an artist for a free art.

In addition to the above examples, it is “harassment” if someone feels uncomfortable.
Each of you should interact with others in a respectful manner. If you receive a “no” from the another, stop your action and back the word down immediately.
OFFF management will do its utmost to manage the event, but we ask for your understanding and cooperation in order to hold a safe and secure event.
